Introduction
Peppermint extract is a brown powder substance extracted from the aboveground part of the labiate plant Pueraria mongolica. Its chemical composition is volatile oil. The oil mainly contains I-menthol, 1-menthol and menthol esters. It can disperse wind heat, clear the head, and penetrate the rash. It is used for wind-heat cold, initial onset of wind-heat, headache, red eyes, sore throat, sore mouth, rubella, measles, chest and hypochondriasis.
Main functions
1. A small amount of oral administration can excite the central nervous system, expand the skin blood vessels, and promote the secretion of sweat glands, so it can sweat and relieve heat. 2. It can promote inflammation of throat, constrict local blood vessels of mucosa, and relieve swelling and pain.  3. External use can paralyze nerve endings, relieve pain and fatigue. 4. The decoction has inhibitory effect on human tuberculosis and obvious antibacterial effect on typhoid bacillus.
