Introduction
Peppermint is a kind of wind-heat medicine, which is used to treat wind-heat colds. It is the dry aboveground part of mint in the labiate family. It is harvested in summer and autumn, dried in the sun or in the shade. Peppermint can sweat and consume gas, so it should not be used by patients with body deficiency and hyperhidrosis. Peppermint is mainly used for wind-heat colds, sore throat, red eyes and tears, and measles opacity. Peppermint also has the effect of soothing the liver and promoting qi. It can be combined with bupleurum chinense, white peony, and angelica sinensis to treat menstrual disorders due to liver depression and qi stagnation.
Main functions
