Introduction
The biennial herb of the genus Primula of the Primula family is usually powdery, and its leaves are clustered. The leaves are oval to oval or rectangular, the lobes have irregular small teeth, and the petiole is covered with multicellular pilose. Scape can be as high as 40 cm, umbel, bracts linear or linear lanceolate, pedicel slender, calyx bell-shaped, corolla pink, light blue purple or nearly white, capsule spherical, flowering in February and May, and fruiting in March and June. It is distributed in Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi of China, and also in northern Myanmar. It mainly grows in the wilderness, field edge, wet open land, ditch edge and forest edge. It is widely cultivated around the world, and has many horticultural varieties. Primula blooms in early spring, with rich colors and long flowering period, and has high ornamental value.
Main functions
It can clear away heat and dry dampness, purge liver and gallbladder fire, and stop bleeding. For children with high fever convulsions, acute gastroenteritis and dysentery; External use for traumatic bleeding.
